Abstract |
INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to investigate of obesity index, blood pressure, health fitness, and nutrient intake on exercise and nutrition education in hypertension patents. METHOD The subjects of this study was comprised of hypertension patients(n=25). The subjects were aerobic exercise(HRR 50~80%, 40min) and resistance exercise(1RM 40~60%, 20min) have performed 3times a week for 12weeks. And nutrition education provide once a week. Subjects were measured for obesity index(weight, %fat, and waist circumference), blood pressure(systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, resting heart rate, and rate pressure product), health fitness(cardiopulmonary endurance, muscular strength, muscle endurance, and flexibility), and nutrient intake were measured at before and after 12 weeks. RESULT 1. The weight, %fat, waist circumference were significantly decreased. 2. The systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, resting heart rate, rate pressure product were significantly were significantly decreased. 3. The cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility were significantly increased. 4. The total calories, carbohydrate and sodium intake were significantly decreased. Also the potassium, vitamin B6, folic acid and vitamin E, dietary fiber intake were significantly increased. CONCLUSION Exercise and nutrition education had positively effects on obesity index, blood pressure, health fitness and nutrient intake change in hypertension patients. |
