Abstract |
INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to verify the physiological effects of worship dance program on health-related physical fitness and psychological health in the Elderly Women. METHOD This study operated 3days per weeks for 12weeks of rhythm program(50-70%HRmax for 70min) to 20 christian elderly women (treatment group=10 and Control group=10). Data were analyzed using the independent t-test, paired t-test.(p<.05). RESULT First, After 12weeks of worship dance program, there were significantly decreased in body mass index(p<.01), blood pressure(p<.05), free fat mass(p<.001), %fat(p<.001) and muscle strength(p<.05), cardiovascular endurance(p<.05) was increased, except heart rate. And there were the differences between groups in systolic blood pressure(p<.05), free fat mass(p<.001), %fat(p<.05), muscle strength(p<.05), cardiopulmonary endurance (p<.001). Second, After 12weeks of worship dance program, there were significantly decreased in body image · anxiety · nervous-fear · paranoia(p<.01), onychotillomania · depression(p<.001), hyperpsychosis(p<.05). And there were the differences between groups in obsessive personality, anxiety, nervous-fear(p<.05).
CONCLUSION These results suggested that worship dance program was shown to positive influence the health-related physical fitness and psychological health in the Elderly Women. Therefore, worship dance program would be efficient the health-related physical fitness and psychological health factors in the Elderly Women. |
