Abstract |
INTRODUCTION To research the effects of physical fitness and isokinetic muscular function of middle school students for promotion of physical fitness and development of the training program which can be utilized by the Taekwondo instructors. METHOD The subjects were 30 middle school students who participated in Taekwondo training in extracurricular activities or Taekwondo gymnasium. The exercise group was composed of 15 students and non-exercise group of 15. Physical fitness and isokinetic muscular function were measured. Physical fitness items were muscular strength, muscular endurance, power, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and isokinetic muscular function items were peak torque per weight, average power and endurance ratio of ankle joint and knee joint. CONCLUSION Taekwondo training have been influenced on the promotion of physical fitness (muscular strength, muscular endurance, power, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility), isokinetic muscular function(peak torque, average power and endurance ratio) of the knee and ankle joint. |
